GEM & YSYvonne is an independent Safeguarding Consultant and Trainer who is committed to working with schools, sport, community groups and organisations who have safeguarding responsibilities to keep children safe. She prepares safeguarding audits to ensure that you are meeting your safeguarding responsibilities in line with the latest statutory legislation and provides support and advice with policies, procedures and training to comply with safeguarding regulations.

GEM Compliance Training

GEM Compliance Training specialise in providing and delivering a range of accredited first aid and safety training courses to individuals and businesses. As part of their offering, they run regular Paediatric First Aid (PFA) Level 3 courses which fulfil Ofsted’s first aid requirements for early years providers and can support in the requirements outlined in the Statutory Framework for the EYFS concerning paediatric first aid. They also run regular PFA Annual Updates, so delegates can practice their skills and update their knowledge on the latest first aid procedures.

New Combined Safeguarding & Paediatric First Aid Course!

We know how valuable your time is, which is why we are always looking at new and innovative ways to ensure that you receive the training you require in the most effective way – leaving you to get on with your job with minimum disruption.

With this in mind, we are pleased to announce a new combined course that allows you to complete your Paediatric First Aid Level 3 training and your Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People and Adults at Risk Level 2 training in only 3 days with both qualifications valid for 3 years and fully accredited. There are very few training companies in the country that provide this combined course, so we are delighted to be able to offer it to our customers too!

So, if you work with children in the workplace, this 3-day course is worth considering. Remember, having the correct Paediatric First Aid provision in place is not only a statutory requirement for most childcare providers but it is crucial for the safety of children in your care. Our Paediatric First Aid course also meets the requirements of Ofsted and The Early Years Foundation Stage. In addition, our Ofqual regulated Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People and Adults at Risk Level 2 course, has been designed to provide learners with the valuable skills and knowledge required to competently carry out your roles and responsibilities relating to safeguarding.

All attendees upon successful completion will receive accredited Ofqual regulated certificates for both qualifications that will remain valid for 3 years.

SafeguardingWe understand that meeting expectations around safeguarding provisions is not always easy, which is why we are keen to provide clarity surrounding the various safeguarding frameworks and legislations aimed at early years providers.
If you would welcome straightforward advice and support with regards to safeguarding, then join us at our FREE information evening on Tuesday 10th October from 6pm. We invite Early Years Provision Owners, Senior Managers, Child Minders, Safeguarding Leads – anyone who is responsible for safeguarding in an early years setting – to get involved and learn more.

During the evening, we will provide you with an overview and update on the Early Years Statutory Framework guidance and best practice, including paediatric first aid requirements for the Apprenticeship Framework. We will also inform you of new services and training to support you and your organisation in your safeguarding compliance.
