This 1 day SSSTS Refresher course is for site supervisors that have previously achieved a 2 day CITB Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme course or a 1 day CITB Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme Refresher course within the last 5 years.

You will refresh about your legal responsibilities regarding health, safety, welfare and environmental issues.

Course Content:

  • The Health and Safety at Work Act
  • Specific site issues that challenge supervisors on a daily basis
  • Effective toolbox talks
  • Supervision of occupational health
  • Behavioural safety

Successful attendees of this 1 day course will be awarded a CITB SSSTS certificate valid for 5 years.

Prerequisites – An individual can renew their CITB Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) qualification by attending our 1 day CITB Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme Refresher course, if it’s within 5 years of previously achieving either a 2 day CITB Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) course or a 1 day CITB Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme Refresher course. If the SSSTS certificate has lapsed beyond the expiry date, then they must attend a full 2 day CITB Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme course.

CITB Funding FAQs

Small, Micro & Medium businesses can apply for up to £25,000 to invest in training and equip your workforce to face the future – no matter how small your business is.

This CITB Grant makes a contribution to a course place that can save you as much as 90% off a course place and there are 1520 short courses on the eligible list. For example you can claim £140 back for a First Aid at Work course place which means you will only pay as little as £20 for this course place once you have claimed your CITB grant!

This CITB funding has been put in place to support construction workers transition from an Industry Accredited card (awarded under Grandfather Rights) to a qualification. This funding is mainly aimed at Management and Supervision NVQ’s for people looking to apply for a Gold Supervisory CSCS Cards or a Black Management CSCS Card, These short qualifications can be completed onsite within your organisation and range from 6 – 12 months to complete. It has never been a better time within the industry to take advantage of the above, and upskill your workforce, stay compliant, at a fraction of the cost to your organisation.

You can apply for CITB Funding if you are a CITB-registered employer and up to date with Levy return.

Yes! You can claim the CITB Short Course Grants and CITB Short Qualification Grants as well as the CITB Skills and Training Fund, which will make your funding go even further. Working with GEM on this, we would ensure this Is maximised for you to ensure your funding goes as far as it can.

Don't worry, it is easy to register – and dependent upon the size of your business, you may be exempt from Levy payments, or be eligible for a 50% reduction.
