CITB currently have available a range of grants and funding schemes, for construction related employers who are registered with CITB. See below:
Short Course Grants
From 1st April 2023, CITB have doubled their short course grants that can be applied to various CITB courses, depending on the tier the fall in. See below:
Achievement date on or after 1 April 2023
- Grant Tier 1: £60
- Grant Tier 2: £140
- Grant Tier 3: £240
- Grant Tier 1 for Refresher Courses: £30
- Grant Tier 2 for Refresher Courses: £70
- Grant Tier 3 for Refresher Courses: £120
There are 1520 short duration training standards to which these grants apply. If you would like a full list provided, please contact the team who can provide this during consultation.
An example of these include:
- First Aid at Work Level 3 (RQF) | Tier 2 Grant | £140 per course place!
(You will only pay as little as £20 for this course place once you have claimed your CITB grant) - Health & Safety Awareness (HSA) | Tier 1 Grant | £60 per course place!
(You will only pay as little as £65 for this course place once you have claimed your CITB grant) - SMSTS: Site Management Safety Training Scheme | Tier 3 Grant | £240 per course place!
(You will only pay as little as £239 for this course place once you have claimed your CITB grant) - SMSTSR: Site Management Safety Training Scheme Refresher | Tier 3 Grant Refresher | £120 per course place!
(You will only pay as little as £179 for this course place once you have claimed your CITB grant) - SSSTS: Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme | Tier 2 Grant | £140 per course place!
(You will only pay as little as £20 for this course place once you have claimed your CITB grant) - SSSTSR: Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme Refresher | Tier 2 Grant Refresher | £70 per course place!
(You will only pay as little as £105 for this course place once you have claimed your CITB grant) - SEATS: Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme | Tier 1 Grant | £60 per course place!
(You will only pay as little as £119 for this course place once you have claimed your CITB grant)
When booking, the GEM team require the companies CITB Levy Number, to ensure that Grant payments are paid back to you automatically – no application needed! This payment is usually paid within 2-4 weeks via CITB.
Organisations that are eligible, in addition to the above, can also make an application to CITB for further funding.
This includes:
- Skills & Training Fund – Small, Micro & Medium businesses can apply for funding to deliver training to their team
- Leadership & Management Development Fund – for large businesses 2024
