Having the correct Paediatric First Aid provision is not only a statutory requirement for the majority of childcare providers, it is extremely important for the safety of children across all work settings. Our Paediatric First Aid courses are ideal for those who work with anyone or their service users are under the age of 18 and is ideal for anyone works or intends to work in a childcare setting as it has been specifically designed to meet Ofsted’s first aid requirements for early years teachers, nursery workers and childminders (as defined within the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage 2014 and within the Child Care Register guide).

Upon successful completion, attendees will be awarded a nationally recognised Ofqual regulated certificate valid for 3 years that is recognised by Ofsted and will receive a Paediatric First Aid handbook to keep for future reference.

Attendees of all our Paediatric First Aid courses will also have exclusive free access to our GEM First Aid annual refresher video training presented by our GEM trainers, each year until certificate renewal is needed in 3 years’ time.

1 day Face to Face Paediatric First Aid (Blended Learning)

Our Blended Learning course comprises of 6 hours Video Training presented by our own GEM trainers and then attending 1 day face to face with us. Fully meets Ofsted & EYFS requirements.

The Resuscitation Council (UK) recently changed the age guidelines for First Aid workplace provision to the following:

  • Paediatric First Aid: Qualifies delegates to legally administer First Aid to those aged from infancy, up until the age of 18 years.
  • First Aid at Work (and Emergency First Aid at Work): Qualifies delegates to legally administer First Aid to those aged over 18 years old.

Yes this course fully meets both Ofsted and the Early Years Framework requirements. Alongside this, upon successful completion of this course you will be awarded a regulated certificate that is nationally recognised.

Yes. This is the first part of the training which is to be completed before attending one of our face to face training sessions. Our video training course is intended to give an introduction into the course which will be built on when attending our face to face session.

We will take payment upon receipt of your order for our training services alternatively at request we can raise and send an invoice which will become payable 7 days prior to the training course commencing.

The dress code for this course is casual - attendees should wear comfortable clothing due to the practical nature of this course. If you have long hair it may be helpful to bring something to tie it back.

Yes. As this is a regulated qualification, all delegates are required to bring photographic identification (such as a passport or driving licence) when attending this course.

It can take up to 21 days to be released from our awarding body. Once we have received it, we will email it straight out to the person who paid for the course place. Certificates will only be released upon receipt of full payment of the training services provided.

As the Chief Operating Officer of Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust, I conducted a competitive tender exercise to seek external support for Health and Safety compliance, training and first aid training. GEM Compliance Training was identified as the preferred supplier based on quality of the offer, history and price. Exceed Academies Trust have worked with GEM Compliance Training for now, since 2018. GEM Compliance Training have always been very helpful and given sound advice whenever needed, to both the Trust, and individual Academies.
