Do you work with children and need to have a 12 hour Paediatric First Aid qualification that fully meets Ofsted & EYFS requirements?

Then this course should be right for you!

Having the correct Paediatric First Aid provision is not only a statutory requirement for the majority of childcare providers, it is extremely important for the safety of children. Our Paediatric First Aid Level 3 course is ideal for those who work or intend to work in a childcare setting as it has been specifically designed to fulfil Ofsted’s first aid requirements for early years teachers, nursery workers and childminders (as defined within the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage 2014 and within the Child Care Register guide).

Paediatric First Aid 2

This is a 12 hour course which we generally run over 2 days or 4 x 3 hour sessions.

Through this current period of restriction lifting, we would like to advise you regarding our new options that would be available to qualify or re-qualify delegates as a Paediatric First Aider. We have been working very closely with our awarding bodis to provide the 3 options below:

2-day Conventional Classroom Delivery
Attend one of our conventional 2-day public courses, at one of our local training venues.

1-day Virtual Delivery via Live Video and 1-day Classroom delivery
Attendees will join a scheduled interactive virtual session via Live Video delivery, with one of our GEM Trainers, which will substitute 1-day of classroom delivery. Following completion of this, attendees will then attend 1-day of face to face delivery at one of our local training venues. (Please note: We would highly recommend delegates that have not previously attended a Paediatric First Aid course before, to strongly consider this option as you will have full interaction with the trainer)

6 hours e-Learning and 1-day Classroom Delivery
Attendees will receive joining instructions to complete an approved awarding body e-Learning course which can be accessed anywhere at any time as long as there is an internet connection. This e-Learning course doesn’t need to be completed all in one go and can be done over short sessions as the system will record progress throughout. Successful completion of this would substitute 1-day of classroom delivery and would need to be completed before attending 1-day of face to face delivery at one of our training venues.

Successful delegates will learn the roles and responsibilities of the paediatric first aider, and will be equipped with the necessary skills to administer safe and effective treatment when dealing with a range of paediatric first aid situations. For more details about this course including the subject areas that are covered click on our course overview below:
