Anyone can be affected by a mental health condition either themselves or a family member, friend or colleague.

This 2 day Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health (RQF) regulated course (in association with Paula Colman of Paco Training) covers a wide range of mental health conditions and goes into detail on the range of therapy and professional support that a person may be given by professional bodies during treatment for a mental health condition.

The course is suitable for all persons within a workplace but is aimed at those who hold a supervisory/managerial level position and who have responsibility for implementing a positive mental health culture and responsibility for First Aid for Mental Health within an organisation.

What is covered?

Duration

A minimum of 12 hours spread over at least two days. Ideally, the course should be run over two consecutive days, but must be completed within 6 weeks of starting the course, with each training session a minimum of two hours.

Assessment

A range of methods are used, including practical and questioning (open and multiple-choice).

Certification

Upon successful completion of the qualification assessment, Learners will be awarded the Ofqual regulated Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health.

Who can attend?

The course is simply for everyone! Some of the contents could be quite sensitive and can be upsetting to some so we would only ask you to register if you are over 16 years old. We want to ensure that we create a safe and suitable learning environment for all our attendees.
